Woodsmoke Lodge 9317 is a freemasons lodge situated in the Masonic Province of Yorkshire West Riding.
It is warranted under the United Grand Lodge of England and was founded in 1989.
We originally met in Heckmondwike, have moved over to Dewsbury and since 2000 have settled at 14 King St, Mirfield WF14 8AW, West Yorkshire.
Woodsmoke Lodge 9317 welcomes new members.
Woodsmoke Lodge is open to people from all walks of life and is predominantly aimed at members of The Scout Association or any allied youth organisation and offers an opportunity for you meet new people, establish another circle of friends and find contacts that may be mutually beneficial to you as an individual or in whatever role you may play within Youth and Community.
Many may remember a section in Scouting called Fellowship. Masonry is a natural extension of Fellowship with like minded people wanting to support their uniformed colleagues.
We meet in formal session seven evenings per year on the fourth Tuesday of the months in February, March, April, June, September, October and November. In addition, we meet socially throughout the year, hold practice and informal meetings leading up to the formal nights.
In addition, we link up with other local Masonic Lodges and with a further thirty-seven Scouting Lodges spread across the whole of the UK.
